"Protest Against Professor Yogendra Yadav's Removal from UGC Membership"

Hundreds of students of Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur, held a protest on campus and condemned the removal of Prof. Yogendra Yadav, from the membership of the UGC by the MHRD. The students said that the reasons given for Prof. Yadav’s removal are not justified on any ground. Prof. Yogendra Yadav is a famous political scientist, a widely acclaimed academician, scholar who has contributed and is contributing continuously through his works and different positions academic and non- academic. His association with a political party should not be taken as a point to remove him from the UGC membership. His services in the UGC would have helped and strengthen the education system of the country in a more dynamic way. The students further requested the central Government to reconsider Prof. Yogendra Yadav‘s removal from UGC membership.

Dear Dr. Ambuj Sharma,
I am pleased that your Ferozepur chapter is alive to activate protest against wrong removal of Sri Yogendra Yadav from UGC panel on the ground of his political convictions.
Academic opinions must be allowed to be debated amongst students and faculty to best promote clarity of thought.
In that sense panic of GOUI about subversion they suspected in Dr Yogendra 'sassertions is not good for open democratic culture of India.
