Students of Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur City, during a short visit at Panjab University, on 27 September, 2013, attended the class of Janaki Srinivasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, Panjab University on the topic "Gandhi and Women". The faculty and students of the college extend their thanks to Janaki who delivered an informative and significant lecture on the theme tracing the contribution of the women movements in the pre-independent India and its impact in bringing women subject on the forefront of the economic policies in post independent India and also Gandhi's initiatives and limitations to women participation in the India's independence struggle. The visit was organized by Critique Ferozepur Chapter and Philosophical Society, a students discussion forum, of the college.
