Department of Philosophy collaborated with the School of Liberal Studies, Ambedkar University, New Delhi for the research and field work engagement on account of the Educational History Tour, organized by the Ambedkar University, on the theme “Cross Borders” at Ferozepur on 25 March, 2016. Twenty two students and three faculty members Dr. Vinod R, Dr. Anil Persuad, Dr. Yogesh Snehi from Ambedkar University had a detailed discussion with the students and faculty of the college. The faculty member Dr. Ambuj Sharma joined the group for the field research at various places in Punjab beyond 25th march.

Professor Daya Krishna Memorial Lecture on 'Science. Society and Education' followed by Professor Daya Krishna Philosophy Awards (14 March, 2016)

The Department organized Professor Daya Krishna Memorial Lecture on the theme "Science, Society and Education". Dr. Tilak Raj, Assistant Director, Forensic Crime Branch, Punjab Police, Bathinda delivered the invited lecture. On the occasion Dr. Madhu Prashar, Principal, Dev Samaj College for Women, Dr. Tilak Raj, Assistant Director, Forensic Crime Branch, Punjab Police, Bathinda and Sixty Five students from the Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur were awarded the prestigious “Daya Krishna Philosophy Award 2016”, for their outstanding contribution in the academics and seminars organized at the College, University level and beyond.
